Use LongSpan from your assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to your LongSpan plan. Ask it about your plan, try a decision out before you make it, or let it keep your plan up to date. The recommendations are your assistant’s; LongSpan supplies the forecast under the assumptions you set.

Connect your assistant

  • Claude

    Opens Claude with LongSpan ready to add. Leave the settings as they are, click Add and sign in to LongSpan, and it works in the Claude desktop and phone apps too.

  • ChatGPT

    In ChatGPT’s settings, turn on developer mode, then add LongSpan with the address below and sign in when ChatGPT asks.

  • Gemini

    In Gemini on the web, open Connected apps, add a custom app with the address below and sign in, then approve it in LongSpan. Gemini offers this only to personal Google accounts in the US, and it then works in the Gemini phone app too.

You choose what it can do

Each assistant has one of three levels of access, and you can change it anytime.

  • Read your plan

    Reads your plan and its forecast, and tries changes out without saving anything: a house in 2028, a bigger 401(k) contribution, lower market returns. Claude and ChatGPT start here.

  • Save scenarios

    Also saves scenarios beside your plan, the way the Life events screen does, and changes or deletes them. Your plan stays as it is.

  • Change your plan

    Also changes your plan itself: adds the income, accounts or spending you describe, and changes or removes what it holds. Your assistant asks you before it changes anything you entered.

Setting up your plan with your assistant? LongSpan asks you to let it change your plan when it connects, so it can fill your plan in for you.

Whatever its access, an assistant cannot move money, make a trade or reach your bank. It never sees an account number or a login, and it cannot delete your plan. Any assistant other than Claude and ChatGPT waits for you to approve it before it can do anything.

You stay in charge

In LongSpan, under Settings, Assistants, you see every assistant you’ve connected. Change what each one can do, or revoke it, anytime. Every change an assistant saves is listed with exactly what changed, and an Undo for anything you’d rather not keep.

What leaves LongSpan

Your plan and its forecast go to the assistant you connected, and only as answers to its own requests. What happens to them there is covered by that assistant’s own privacy terms.

LongSpan receives only what your assistant sends it, holds no password for your assistant account, and never reads your conversations.
